My name is Francesco Banterle, and I am a researcher in the field of Computer Graphics working at the Visual Computing Lab at CNR-ISTI in Pisa, Italy. Before joining the Visual Computing Lab, I worked as researcher in Arup Ltd for an internship, and previously I worked for University of Warwick as HDR technology leader and main programmer.
My main research fields are high dynamic range (HDR) imaging (acquisition, tone mapping, HDR video compression, and HDR monitors), and rendering (raytracing, real-time rendering, and global illumination).
My book on image retargeting out: "Image Content Retargeting". Please have a look at it!
I am working on a new C++11 imaging library, called Piccante.
My book on HDR imaging: "Advanced High Dynamic Range Imaging: Theory and Practice". Please have a look at it!
